The DJI AP100 Parachute is designed for the Matrice 400, supporting EASA C5/C6 and UK CAA UK5/UK6 operational safety requirements for STS-01 and STS-02 operations.

Deployment

• Automatic: Triggers when attitude or speed anomalies are detected.
• Geocaging: Automatically deploys when a Geocaging boundary set in DJI Pilot 2 is breached.
• Manual: Controlled through the on-screen slider in DJI Pilot 2.
• Remote: Available through DJI FlightHub 2 with DJI Cellular Dongle 2 and a 4G connection.

Additional Features

• Continuous self-monitoring of the gas generator and communication links.
• Independent flight controller and IMU sensors for data cross-validation.
• Independent Flight Termination System cuts motor power within 600 ms.
• Rear-mounted design allows the Matrice 400 to fit in its carrying case with the parachute attached.

Important Note

Installing the AP100 disables the M400's downward and backward mmWave radars.

The AP100 is a single-use device and must be replaced after deployment. DJI recommends replacing the unit three years after activation.
