Winter Riding & Storage PSA
If you ride all year and through frost, snow, or minus temperatures, you are a Legend! Here are some riding tips to keep in mind.

Add Traction, Not Tension
Studded tires are the most important tool in a winter rider's repertoire. See our catalogue and get them installed with your next tune! If we dont have your size in stock, we will order them for you!

Winter-proof your bike
The treatment that the city puts on the roads to help with the snow and ice can cause some serious damage to the mechanical components of your bike. Using a wet-weather lubricant can help extend the lifetime of those components, and some corrosion protection will prevent rust due to the excess moisture! Add a winter treatment to your tune-up today for $60 and take home the products we use!

Battery drain is real
Cold weather can suck, and your battery feels it too! Keep it cozy inside until you ride, and don’t expect full range; up to 30% less is normal.

Charge your battery once a month
E-bike batteries hate being ignored. Charge it for 15 minutes every 4 weeks to keep it awake and let it know you are still there. Keep your stored battery charged between 30% and 80%. Do not keep the charger on the battery for long periods.

Store it somewhere warm
Batteries are divas. They like temps around 50–68°F (10–20°C). Do not freeze your battery. Remove it and store it where it will not freeze, in a dry area free from condensation, or use our Battery Bags for a more secure storage option!

Cover your bike
If you are storing the bike in an unheated space, remove the battery and cover it to protect it from dust and moisture!
Please cover any exposed battery contacts and ensure they are free from moisture before reinserting the battery!
